Hi! Well, I wanted to start a blog- but life has been a little bit crazy!
My name is Lauren Ashley, and this is my blog. I have been married for eight years. I have two children age 5, and 7, and a little Tyke on the way- which I don’t know the sex of yet!
I am a Christian mom, and feel like sometimes, because of making the commitment to follow Jesus so late in life- (18) that I don’t quite understand what that means or how it looks. I have read the entire bible in the first few years of being saved, but have had a hard time being consistent about doing it every day. That was ten years ago! And it has all been such a learning process! Being a wife has also had its challenges. Trying to be good at housekeeping and cooking, has often left me more than a little frazzled, but we all have to learn sometime . We are cooking Gluten free for my son, so that has also been a learning experience!
Currently, we are in our first year of homeschooling and it has been interesting to say the very least! My son, who is 5 is autistic and doesn’t like to sit for long periods of time. My daughter, age 7, is very quick to get her work done and has little to no difficulty. They are both bright and wonderful children that have been a joy to stay home with!
I am a knitter, and I would say I am good at making hats, but I am a very beginner on sweaters, etc. And I very much dislike making socks.
As far as the coaching, I have been helping family get running planned and a few friends. I used my training to train myself for Grandma’s Marathon in Duluth this last year. It went very well! I was celebrating ten years of surviving a suicide attempt- so it was very meaningful to me. I went to a class for three days in Tempe, Arizona last April for the Lydiard Training Clinic. I learned a lot from their training, and the experience was amazing! I feel like it was one of the best experiences of my life, and felt very surreal. It makes me want to go back to Arizona too, especially whilst we are in the midst of winter here in Minnesota!
Anyways, that is a lot about me! I hope to write more entries that are ‘topic- oriented’ later. Thanks for reading .
